RADIOLOGY CT SCAN TECHNICIAN - DEPARTMENT OF RADIOLOGY - THE ARM HOSPITAL OF CHARLESTON SC (South Carolina)

ABOUT THIS JOB:

The Department of Radiology at The ARM (American Regional Medical) Hospital of Charleston SC is seeking a full-time radiology CT scan technician to work variable hours on weekdays (M-F).

A radiology CT scan technician position at The ARM Hospital of Charleston SC involves:

  • providing computerized tomography (CT) imaging to patients of all ages as ordered by physicians and nurse practitioners
  • maintaining patient safety and comfort
  • inspecting equipment for proper functioning and reporting concerns to department supervisor
  • acquiring and transmitting images and related paperwork
  • educating patients regarding procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • High school diploma
  • Graduate of AMA-approved program of radiologic technology
  • Certification in computed tomography (CT)
  • Current licensure in the state of South Carolina
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Ability to work as part of an interdependent team
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to physically assist and properly position patients before, during, and after procedures

Preferred

  • Minimum of one year of related experience
  • Familiarity with electronic health records, preferably the ARMSMedSoft system

The successful candidate for this position will be subject to a pre-employment background check, including education transcripts, professional credentials, and at least three professional references.

Additionally as a condition of employment, all clinical practitioners must receive or show proof of having had a flu (influenza) vaccine in the last twelve months, or possess an approved medical or religious exemption.
